Motorola RAZR MAXX

The Droid RAZR MAXX offers an inelegant solution to the problem of battery life. It's took the Droid RAZR (which Scott reviewed a few months back), still the slimmest and one of the fastest phones to date, and filled that empty space with battery. The Motorola RAZR MAXX has a preposterously sized battery, 3300mAh, more than double the iPhone 4S’ 1432mAh battery and still larger than Samsung’s  Galaxy Note, a tablet/smartphone with a 5.4” screen. The battery in the MAXX is a monster.

Nokia 500

The Nokia 500 is a highly qualified Symbian Belle smartphone. It was first released on August 1, 2011, with all models available by the end of the year. It comes upgraded to Nokia Belle after 15 February 2012 onwards (previously known as "Symbian Belle") via Nokia Suite and over-the-air (some country variants) The Nokia 500 has had many problems since it was first released with firmware version 010.029, but it runs smoothly after the 11.33 update. The "Nokia Belle" update (software version 111.020.0059) improved performance with less latency and a new interface. Instead of a OpenGL ES GPU, the 500 features a simpler OpenVG GPU, so, even though 3D apps work without hardware acceleration, some 2D and vector apps, like Angry Birds, work correctly. Has no NFC (Near Field Communication) hardware.

Motorola XOOM MZ601

The Motorola Xoom is an Android-based tablet computer by Motorola. It was the first tablet to be sold with Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The Verizon branded Xoom was the first tablet to run Android 3.1. It's went through the FCC on February 10, 2011 only 14 days before release. The 3G version was released on February 24, 2011, and the Wi-Fi version was released March 27, 2011. It was announced concurrently with three other products: the Motorola Atrix, the Motorola Droid Bionic, and the Motorola Cliq 2. CNET named it the "Best of the CES" 2011.

The iPad 2 is the second generation iPad, a tablet computer designed, developed and marketed by Apple Inc. It serves primarily as a platform for audio-visual media including books, periodicals, movies, music, games, presentations and web content. It's has a lithium-ion polymer battery that lasts up to 10 hours, a dual core Apple A5 processor and VGA front-facing and 720p rear-facing cameras designed for Face-time video calling.


The device is available initially with three storage sizes, 16, 32 and 64 GB and two varying connectivity options, Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and cellular. Each variation of the device is available with either a black or white front glass panel. However upon the release of the 3rd generation iPad, only the 16 GB variation with two connectivity options and two front glass panel options is available.   The device received mixed reception from various blogs and publications, it was praised for its hardware improvement however the software restriction on the iPad 2 and iOS in general drew criticism from various technology commentators. The device however sold well in its first month of sales with 2.4–2.6 million units sold and 11.12 million units were sold in the third quarter of 2011.

Motorola RAZR XT910

The Motorola Droid Razr (GSM/UMTS version: Motorola Razr; both versions styled RAZR) is an Android-based, 4G LTE-capable smartphone designed by Motorola that launched on Verizon Wireless on November 11, 2011.

At launch, the RAZR was the thinnest smartphone in the world at only 7.1 mm thick on most of the device (it does, however, have a "bump" on top that's approximately 11.1 mm thick.) and includes a 4.3-inch (110 mm) super active-matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) advanced PenTile display, covered in a Gorilla glass screen and a kevlar back plate. It is powered by an OMAP 4430 SoC with dual 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor cores. Its 8 megapixel rear facing camera can record 1080p HD videos. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and runs Android version 4.0.4.

Dell expands its Ultra-Sharp line with the latest 27-inch U2713HM LED display based on AH-IPS (Advanced High Performance IPS) panel. This increased the viewing angles up to 178 degrees horizontally and vertically, which will allow the sight and reproduction of an object on every angle available.
