LG 84-Inch 4K Ultra-HD Smart TV Review

[box_info]LG’s massive 84’’ TV, announced at CES earlier this year, has finally hit Korean stores in a limited quantity. After Samsung and Sharp, LG is the third major TV manufacturer to release a HDTV with Smart features that focuses on exceptional screen size.LG's sets will come with a 2.2 speaker setup, and the company is also giving away 3D glasses and camcorders to people who prerecord, as well as promising to provide 4K content. With a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 it will maintain a full 1080p picture for 3D movies even with LG’s FPR Cinema 3D passive glasses technology, and also includes the standard suite of Smart TV features. Of course, the launch is quite predictable. Its Cinema 3D tech uses a Film Pattern Retarder (FPR) screen and passive glasses that result in lowered resolution, but with those extra pixels there’s no question about whether viewers are still getting at least an HD picture.

Nokia Lumia 710 Review

Nokia have been and quite possibly still are one of the most influential manufacturers of mobile phones to date. Nokia made shockwaves when it announced it was shifting its smartphone strategy over from Symbian and Meego to Windows Phone 7. To date, though, we’ve only seen two Windows Phone 7 models in the Australian market; the very sexy and highly desireable Nokia Lumia 800 and the entry level Lumia 710.In the US and UK, devices like the Lumia 800 and 900 are being well received - in fact acclaimed - as quality high-end smartphones. While the 710 is aimed at more entry-level smartphone users you can tell that quite a lot of effort has gone into its design.
