Design

The 9900 exudes a classic BlackBerry Bold design. The Bold Touch comes in the familiar candybar form factor, comparatively other bold touch 9900 is slightly bigger than the 9700 and 9780 models at 115x66x10.5mm. Weighing 130g, the 9900 is also a touch heavier than the previous two models, but this time, with a thinner, sleeker, bolder look to date.
The sleeker, bolder appearance comes With an elegantly brushed stainless steel frame, sculpted surfaces and advanced composite backing, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphones are as lightweight and durable as they are feature-packed. It is the thinnest BlackBerry to date at just 10.5mm (that’s 0.41in). RIM brought back the wide-body design with a fantastic physical keyboard that makes the typing experience so perfect and efficient, you wouldn’t mind composing long emails when using this phone. The keys are definitely bigger and softer to press which makes it easier and hassle-free for the user when composing emails, texts, tweets, and BBMs.

Brilliant Touch Display

The Bold 9900 has now comes with a slightly larger 2.8-inch high-resolution,multi-touch display with an improved of 640×480 pixel resolution at 287ppi. Colors are much sharper than before, the display produces vivid colors and text is clearer on the Liquid Graphics display which has no hint of pix-elation.
Reach out and touch your BlackBerry 9900 smartphone like never before, swiping, pinching and zooming on the Liquid Graphics™ touch screen. Together with a 1.2 GHz processor, and a 24-bit high-res display, Liquid Graphics gives you fluid animations and instant response times.

Touch and type

Touch screen sensitivity is generally very good, and we found ourselves regularly poke at

away at the display to navigate menus, open applications, scroll down pages and pinch-to-zoom. Multi-touch functionality also makes it possible to copy large chunks of text by simply tapping two fingers either side of the text and then adjusting the selected text with the on screen arrows. With a full touch screen and the iconic BlackBerry QWERTY keyboard - made a little wider - you can easily work your way around apps, websites and messages.

Camera

RIM has stuck with the 5-megapixel rear camera on the back, and this comes with an LED flash,2× digital zoom, face detection, and Geotagging. There is still no front-facing camera, so video calling is not possible. However, this has yet to take off so, unless you like taking pictures of yourself, it is not really that big an omission. When the room with enough light, the camera captures the object with both color and a fairly representative.Meanwhile, even in total darkness, the LED lights also do a good job,and is capable of capturing images wiith satisfactory results.
Capture life in HD The main addition is 720p HD video recording.Inspiring, special and funny moments happen on the fly. Capture it all with BlackBerry 9900 720p HD video recording and an impressive.A BlackBerry that records full HD videos with a 1280 x 720 resolution. Sound

The music player on the BlackBerry Bold 9900. It is maybe not the most beautiful music player on a mobile but it looks OK and shows you everything you need. As you can see, you are initially shown a list where you can select to view by all songs, by artist, by album and by genres. Select the one you want and you are then shown the album artwork and the name of the album or track. You will see at the top that you also have a search option for quick access to a particular song.   Watching video on the Bold 9900 is not bad too. Not the best phone for it but reasonable. Things are better on the 9900 compared to the 9780/9700 due to the slightly bigger screen. As you can see below you have on-screen controls but these disappear to allow you to watch video full screen. Remember that you can also use the hardware media controls on the side of the device to play and pause.
