The LG Optimus L7 P700 is already using Android OS 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. Seen from the signal and battery indicators, and other accents interface that uses cyan color, and font usage Roboto. However lock-screen can not use the Face as in the Galaxy Unlock Nexus. In the Lock Screen also no shortcut to access another menu, but there are options in order to enable widgets and shortcuts on the lock-screen. Eye-pleasing design is at the fore of the L-Series pitch, and the L7's clean, 8.7mm-slim, angular-edged design has a classy feel to it. It's available in white or black, with the main bodywork set off by metal-look trim around the edge of the casing. With only a single physical ‘Home' key below the expansive touchscreen display, and a discreet secondary VGA camera lens up top, it's another minimalist smartphone that tips a style nod to the iPhone.

LG has layered its own ‘Optimus UI 3.0' user interface on top of Ice Cream Sandwich, bringing its own extra functionality, features and transitions, in a similar way as HTC's Sense and Samsung's TouchWiz do.

It can display up to five co-joined homescreens that you can swipe between in the usual Android manner, with four main onscreen buttons - Phone, Contacts Messaging and Apps - locked to a tray at the bottom of the display as you swipe between homescreen pages. These pre-set keys can be easily swapped for other apps, should you prefer.
