LG has officially announced its latest flagship smartphone, the Optimus G, featuring some rather impressive specs that could finally give the phone-maker its place among the stars.
Due to launch in home ground South Korea next month, the Optimus G is a beast of a kit, featuring a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display with a mouth-watering 1280 x 768 resolution, a 13-megapixel camera and a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset - the first handset to do so – with 2GB of RAM for good measure.
Elsewhere on board are an Adreno 320 GPU, Bluetooth 4.0, Near Field Communications support and a 2,100mAh battery, plus a cutting-edge new glass panel that integrates the touch sensor for improved responsiveness.
All of that is crammed into an ultra-thin 8mm chassis. If we’re honest, it’s one of the smarter looking handsets we’ve seen lately, which isn’t a compliment given often to LG kits.
